    High Efficiency

    RFO is a roof fan intended to use for extract air in various residential and commercial buildings. RFO is designed to handle high volumes at medium external pressure. It has a high energy efficient EC fan which ensures minimal energy consumption during the operation.

    Demand Control

    RFO can be steplessly controlled via an 0-10 V signal integrated potentiometer.

    Safe Maintenance

    The lid and motor are connected to the casing with safety wires, which keep the parts securely in place during maintenance.

    Quiet by Design

    Special designed three-dimensional blade geometry of impeller ensures low acoustic levels for the fan.

    Construction

    Casing and base frame is made of of powder coated (RAL 9005 Black) magnesium-zinc (MgZn) (Magnelis®) sheet steel to obtain corrosion class C5.

    To simplify the wiring process on site, the fans are equipped with an external terminal box (IP55) with 0.3 m (size 250) and 0.45 m (size 315) long cables. The terminal box has two input connections: one for power supply (230 V) and one for control by external signal 0-10 V.

    Impeller

    RFO fans use backward curved radial impellers which allows to achieve high volume flow rates, high efficiency, low acoustic power levels due to special three-dimensional blade geometry.

    Impellers made from lightweight, hard-wearing fiberglass reinforced polyamide, dynamically balanced and paired with corresponding external rotor motors.

    Motor

    All RFO fans are equipped with high efficient EC external rotor motors surpassing efficiency class IE4, maintenance-free ball bearings (sealed) with long-life lubrication.

    Motors are suitable for 50 Hz and 60 Hz.

    Motor Protection

    All EC motors have integrated electronic thermal protection including reverse polarity and locked-rotor protection, overvoltage detection, motor current limitation and soft-start.

    Control

    RFO fans are equipped with a potentiometer, installed in the terminal box. The speed can be easily adjusted according to the required working point. Control by external signal 0-10 V is also possible.

    For demand controlled ventilation RFO can be combined with a variety of accessories such as timer, thermostat and hygrostat.

    Installation

    The RFO fans are designed for outside installation on the roof in horizontal position.

    We recommend to install the fan together with a roof curb (available as an accessory for the RFOS versions).
