Life at Systemair
When Amy Caissie joined Systemair in Canada in 2017, she had no previous manufacturing experience. Nearly ten years later, she is a Continuous Improvement Supervisor, helping teams improve processes, develop new skills, and drive positive change across the business.
Her journey reflects something many employees experience at Systemair: the opportunity to grow.
Starting on the assembly line, Amy advanced to Team Lead, then Assembly Supervisor, before moving into a role focused on lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and employee development.
"I was given opportunities to learn, grow, and take on new challenges," Amy says. "I knew I was in an environment where I could build a meaningful career while being myself."

For Amy, one of the defining moments in her career was realising that her leaders believed in her potential.
Their trust and support encouraged her to step outside her comfort zone, take on new responsibilities, and continue developing both personally and professionally.
"Starting with no manufacturing experience and progressing into leadership roles has taught me a great deal," she says. "The leaders and mentors who supported me played a huge role in shaping who I am today."
Her story is also a great example of the opportunities available for women in manufacturing. At Systemair, growth is driven by talent, commitment, and willingness to learn, not by where you start.
Ask Amy what makes Systemair special and her answer is immediate: the people.
"We're more than just coworkers," she says. "People here support each other, trust each other, and genuinely care."
That sense of community is something she experiences every day.
"One of my favourite moments is walking into work in the morning and seeing people greet each other with a smile or a friendly handshake. It seems simple, but it creates a workplace where people feel welcome and connected."
As a single mother of two teenagers, Amy values the flexibility and understanding she has received throughout her career.
Whether it's school activities, appointments, sporting events, or family commitments, she has always felt supported in balancing work and personal life.
"That level of understanding has made a meaningful difference in my life, both personally and professionally," she says.
You know you work at Systemair when you feel like you belong, your coworkers feel like family, and you come to work each day knowing you're valued, supported, and making a difference.
After more than nine years with Systemair, Amy remains motivated by the impact of her work, the opportunities for growth, and the culture around her.
