About the project
Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo, located in Pembrokeshire, is a popular family attraction combining visitor facilities with animal enclosures. As the site has developed over time, maintaining consistent and appropriate heating across a variety of environments has been essential for both guest comfort and animal welfare.
Systemair UK was engaged directly by Folly Farm to support ongoing development projects, providing heating solutions tailored to the diverse requirements of the site.
Flexible heating solutions for varied applications
The combination of over door heaters (ODHs) and fan heaters enabled targeted heating across a wide range of environments throughout the Folly Farm site. These systems were installed in both visitor-facing areas and animal enclosures, ensuring that each space received heating appropriate to its specific use.
Given the diverse nature of the site, solutions needed to accommodate open public areas with frequent footfall, as well as enclosed habitats with more controlled environmental requirements. In particular, animal enclosures such as the giraffe housing required carefully considered heating strategies to maintain consistent temperatures during colder months.
By utilising a mix of heater types, Systemair was able to deliver a flexible approach that balanced performance, efficiency, and practicality, ensuring reliable operation across all zones.
