When a unit is calculated it is remembered that it is calculated. So, a user can switch between Result, Energy and Drawing displays without the program recalculating. If the user changes any values the program needs to calculate again.

Optimization

In the optimization dialog you can now see if the units are Ecodesign approved.

Ecodesign calculation error

We have seen some cases where Ecodesign calculation have failed, where we manually could calculate that it should not have failed. The problem has occurred with uneven airflows, where the extract fans failed calculation in a working point where it did not need to be calculated. We have optimized the calculation to only calculate the functions that need to be calculated in each working point.

Danvent DV 10 to 40 retires from the Danish factory

  • It is no longer possible to create a new DV in size 10 to 40 delivered from the Danish factory. Units created in old quotations can still be opened and calculated.
  • Markeds supplied by the Spanish factory can still create DV 10 - 40

All EC Blue fans have been replaced with new EC Bluefin fans. The new EC Bluefin fans comes with the new ZA bluefin composite wheel from Ziehl Abegg. The new EC Bluefin fans has better efficiency than the old fans with lower SFP values as a result.

Counterflow heat exchanger is updated with Recutech DLL

Geniox size 22 to 31 will use full posts on all sides of all casings. This will increase the strength of the casings. This also means that for each casing split there is in the unit the length of the unit will increase by 82 mm.

Selection of rotary heat exchanger is changed, so the selection is A, B, C and D.

  • A – High efficiency and high pressure drop
  • B – High efficiency and high pressure drop (Little less efficient than A)
  • C – Medium efficiency and medium pressure drop
  • D – Low efficiency and low pressure drop

Recuperator DLL is updated for plate heat exchangers.

Plate heat exchangers is changed in some sizes as Recuperator have removed some unit types from their product range.

The Geniox Units is now produced in Denmark, Lithuania and Spain.
SystemairCAD have therefore been setup so internal Systemair users can select units from both Denmark and Spain (Geniox-1) or Lithuania (Geniox-2). The split between Geniox-1 and Geniox-2 has been made to ease Eurovent certification processes.

Run around Coils

  • The target supply air temperature efficiency is changed from being for wet condition to be for dry conditions. This makes it easier to select a Run around coil system that fulfils the Ecodesign criteria, as we can type in 68 % (dry).
  • The default value for maximum fluid pressure drop is set to 200 kPa. (Used to be 100 kPa). Allowing a higher fluid pressure drop gives a higher consumption on the fluid pump, but that is more than compensated with the savings for the ventilation fans due to a lover air pressure drop over the coils.

  • SFPinternal calculation is updated. We have discovered that additional components had influence on the SFPinternal calculation, so the calculation is updated so SFPinternal is not influenced by additional components.
  • When calculating Ecodesign for units with EC-Blue fans, we have been using wrong power consumption, so SystemairCAD have been displaying a higher SFPinternal than it should. This is corrected so we now display the correct SFPinternal.

Section defrosting can now be selected with control system. 

Revit export. We have had many problems with the Revit export, therefore the Revit export function was remanufactured. This should fix some of the problems we have had with Revit export, and also give us better changes to fix problems that should turn up.

Plate heat exchangers with section de-frosting

For Geniox products, a section de-frosting system can now be selected for all plate heat exchangers.

The section de-frosting system will detect when ice is starting to build up in the extract airflow, and it will close dampers section by section to allow de-frosting in 25 % of the heat exchanger while the resting 75 % is working normally.

Airflow diversion sections

A new airflow diversion section is introduced in Geniox Comfort and Geniox Go.

The airflow diversion section will divert the upper airflow to lower airflow and lower airflow to upper airflow.

Fixed coil calculation

The coil calculation is improved for all unit types.

If values are selected (Finn spacing, Numbers of rows etc.) then the coil will be selected and calculated with these values.

Selection of units to export to Revit

The export file dialog is updated so it is possible to select which units you want to export to Revit or as dxf files.

Metal filters (Fat)

When a corse filter is inserted in the extract airflow a new “Metal mesh filter” can now be selected. The new filter can be used to filter Fat from the airflow.

Electrical coils

Selection of electricial coils is changed so selection of steps are fixed.

Also if capacity is selected in a dropdown boks of fixed capacities.

As a new option 3 x 400 V modulat coils can be selected for units without control system.

Smoke by pass on crossflow heat exchangers

Connection for smoke bypass is opened up for crossflow heat exchangers, in the same way as it works for counter flow heat exchangers.

Efficiency values for crossflow heat exchangers

Error with efficiency values for crossflow heat exchangers with uneven airflow is corrected so the correct efficiency values now is showing.

Sound breakout calculation with Heat pumps

There have been an error in sound breakout calculation for units with heat pumps. The sound breakout was set to the noise level of the heat pumps without casing attenuation.

This is corrected so internal noise level first is calculated and then casing attenuation is added.

Control system for single flow units

The control system for Geniox Comfort single flow units is updated so it use the same control system platform as we have used for bi-directional units.

More efficient plate heat exchangers are added for Geniox size 22 to 31.

Stacked units with Polyvinyl chloride or Bitumen membrane roof don’t need to be square anymore. In the stacked units there are space between upper and lower airflow, so there are space for the roof.

It will then be delivered with a round hole for the smoke bypass connection.

    • A pre-filter can be added in extract air, like a course filter before the bag filter.

    • Control system are opened up for more damper combinations, where there are more than one damper in each airflow.

General

Windows 10 has caused many problems in the first versions of SystemairCAD2.0. We have been working intense to solve the issues, but it is very hard to put a finger on the problem. Some of the problems is also out of our reach, we cannot make Microsoft or Intel change drivers or safety settings.

The problems are combinations of many factors.

  • Graphics chip in the computer (Intel HD Graphic cards)
  • User rights in Windows10
  • User installing the program

The Intel HD Graphics chip has a very poor performance in SystemairCAD, and it is only the Intel HD graphics cards we had reports about poor performance. We introduced a new feature, where you are able to activate and deactivate the air handling unit casing on the 3D model (Function described below).

You should be able to increase the performance by deactivating the casing. The casing is deactivated by default.

We also seen some calculation issues related to the user settings in Windows10, especially for users running in a domain. The user safety features are updated significantly from Windows 7. We experience that user running with a strict safety setup in Windows 10 will have some problems running some of the calculation modules in SystemairCAD. We are working hard to solve the problems, but it is very complex and it is hard to find the exact problem.

It can also cause a problem if the SystemairCAD is installed on the client from an Administrator account. The SystemairCAD should always be installed from the client account using the program.

We are of cause sorry for the problems it has caused. But we still depend on your feedback, we have to solve the problems we are facing with Windows 10. So please write to the e-mail below and report if you experience some problems. It is important that state:

  • What version of Windows you are running?
  • You write what product the issue is related to?
  • What is the nature of your problem?
  • Please ad some screen dumps to document the problem?
  • If the problem is related to a product and the calculation, please ad the DVF project file?

New feature Activating / deactivating the casing

The feature is implemented to increase the 3D performance of computers running with a Intel HD graphics card.
Go to the menu … / Options / Options.

Select “Case selection active”. 

The casing is inactive as default.
Now the casing cannot be selected by pointing the mouse directly on the post of the casing.

The Casing Data dialog has to accessed by selecting in the Tool box.

Manual casing, Divide section and Combine sections can be selected from the right click menu, when the casing is deactivated.

We have located and corrected a calculation error in the energy class calculation.

Controller Ready

A new controller ready function is introduced for the control system.

With the controller ready option all the cabling is done from each component to a central control cabinet. The customer can then add a control system of there own chose.

Fan selection with control system

With control system the supply fan and extract fan must be of same type. The selection is now changed so if the fan type is changed in one airflow, the fan type is automatically changed in the other airflow also.

Calculation of sound break out

There have been an error in calculation of sound break out. The error is corrected and it result in slightly higher sound break out values.

Several small errors with the control system have been fixed in this version.

Calculation errors

Some different calculation errors have been fixed.

  • Mixing section with certain damper combinations
  • Roof units with outdoor pressure drop set to zero.

Print and Calculation of counter flow heat exchangers

An error in calculation and printing counter flow heat exchangers is detected and fixed.

Topvex

For Topvex the release includes:

Weights for Topvex SC range.

  • Updated airflow range for Topvex SC due to Facelift.
  • Dimension correction for Topvex TX/C03.

Selection in drawing window

We have worked with the selection in the drawing window.

  • The speed is improved so it’s faster to select items.
  • It is easier to select fans, as the safety screen is no longer considered a part of the casing.

Fan calculation

If PM-motors (IE4) are default, the calculation will no longer fail in the first calculation.

Fan calculation with mixing

An error with mixing units that prevented fans from calculation in mixing units are fixed.

External circuits for DX cooling coils and condenser heating coils

If number of external circuits for DX cooling coils and condenser heating coils is selected it is now calculated and displayed correctly.

DLL Load problems

We have seen load problems for DLL on some PC.

It have manly been on Windows 10 PC where 3T coil DLL and Klingenburg counter flow DLL could not be loaded.

We have made some changes to the installation procedure that should fix the DLL load problems.

Link to Release notes

The Release notes have moved and we have updated the link to the release notes so it opens correctly again.

Language translations

We have added updates to the language database so we have more translation and texts will display in the correct language. We are still working to get all languages updated.

Order numbers will now be printed on all pages, when a project is given a order number.

There was a limit on licenses for coil calculation DLL. This limit is raised to accomplish all SystemairCAD installations.

Codes for selecting EC-Blue fans with control system are updated so item numbers can be found.

Old centrifugal fans selection was by mistake added to all markets, and they are now removed again.

Topvex could not be selected on certain markets. It is fixed so Topvex again can be selected.
