Fresh air for a sustainable school building

Since the school year 2017-2018, the 1500 pupils studying at the Revius Lyceum school in Doorn, The Netherlands, have been doing so in a sustainable building with energy label A+.

The indoor climate is controlled via the use of a Variable Air Volume system (VAV). 4 air handling units were supplied by Systemair, equipped with HR heaters with moisture recovery and a variable flow rate. In total, the air handling installation moves around 60 000 m3 of air per hour.

Systemair also supplied energy-efficient roof fans that extract the used air from the bathrooms, kitchen, and the fume hoods in the physics and chemistry classrooms.
