All sensors are factory installed and calibrated for ease of installation on-site. Each unit is tested and configured. The cost of installing controls at the factory is more economical as the unit is virtually plug n'play for any HVAC installer. Below are the sensor pre-installed with every unit:

- Supply and exhaust fan airflow monitoring sensor

*The supply air sensor is enclosed in the unit package on delivery and is to be fitted in the duct.
There are three levels of alarm classes: A, B, C to handle high and low level priority conditions. Many alarms have adjustable set-points for your applications needs. Examples of alarm conditions are:
- Energy recovery wheel minimum efficiency
- Airflow set point
- High and low temperature set points (OA, RA, and SA)
- Sum alarm and external alarm input

The highly configurable controller is geared toward ERV applications. It is pre-programmed from the factory and can accommodate changes to the program on-site via the remote display. Below are some available control features:
- Supply air temperature control
- Outdoor air temperature compensated supply air control
- Room air temperature compensated supply air control
Air control of:
- Free cooling (economizer)/heating
- Cooling recovery
- Constant airflow- (CAV) or duct pressure- (VAV) controlling
Temperature control of:

Topvex FR800-3800 is a series of efficient ventilation units designed for offices, shops, schools, daycare centres or similar premises. The units are designed with a low overall height and double rotating heat exchangers for very low energy use and high efficiency. Drain pans and condensate lines are not required, making the unit very flexible to install.
It could not be simpler!
The units are supplied preprogrammed, tested and ready to install. Connect the duct system, any external components, the power supply, and set the timer and fan speed. Installation is now complete.
Low overall height
The unique design with double rotating heat exchangers makes it possible to produce the units with a low overall height. Using the enclosed suspension device, the unit can be installed in a false ceiling. To further simplify the use when mounted in a false ceiling, the hinges can be split, and the panels opened as panels or an optional sliding door kit can be purchased allowing the doors to slide on rails to minimize required service area.
EC fan motors
Unlike motors with frequency converters, electronically-commutated (EC) motors ensure excellent efficiency even at low speeds. This contributes to low operating costs. EC motors are also very quiet when running at high and low speeds.
Frost prevention strategies
- Exhaust only
This unit can be configured with an effective exhaust only frost control strategy that is activated once the outdoor temperature reaches the frost threshold. During exhaust only operation, the supply blower shuts down consequently stopping the flow of cold outdoor air. The unit continues to extract warm air for a period of time before going back in normal operation. This cycle is repeated preventing any frost formation and condensation within the ERV.
This unit can be configured with a recirculation frost control strategy that is activated once the outdoor temperature reaches the frost threshold. During recirculation, the exhaust air blower shuts down and room air is recirculated for a period of time before going back in normal operation. This cycle is repeated preventing any frost formation and condensation within the ERV.
- Pre Heating
The pre-heater enables the system to perform in continuously extremely cold weather to preserve performance and ensure a continuous supply of air. It does this by warming the outdoor air before it enters the energy recovery wheel. The pre-heater is designed to keep the temperature above the frost threshold while remaining within the temperature range of the system.
