EC Bluefin represents the latest developments in fan technology. A brand new blade design helps improve the efficiency up to 7% and significantly reduces sound power levels.
At Systemair we always want to be at the forefront of the latest technology. Our air handling units are constantly evolving. With EC Bluefin, we can now offer the best of air handling unit fans and help to reduce energy consumption further.
Systemair's calculations show that EC Bluefin can deliver the same perfromance as current EC fans with a significantly lower SFP value. The calculations also showed that the sound power level could be reduced by up to 5 dB (A). This represents a significant improvement as studies show that the human ear will perceive a reduction in sound power level of 3 dB (A) as a halving.
The EC Bluefin engine is in the highest energy efficiency class, IE5. Therefore, the units contributes significantly to a greatly improved energy efficiency. In some cases, the higher performance of the fan mean that the unit size can be reduced.
Both fan and motor are available in several sizes. This gives customers more flexibility and the opportunity to hit exactly the operating point they need.
EC Bluefin is made of a composite material specially developed for this particular fan. It is strong as steel but weighs quite much less. In addition, the material is 100% sustainable.
An app has been developed for the new engine that allows control of all 3-phase motors. It allows faster start-up, better control and the ability to change the pre-ordered settings, e.g. switch from 0-10 V control to ModBus.
