Energy-efficient installation for Koningin Wilhelminaschool

In this multifunctional building in Zoetermeer in the Netherlands, a blood bank is located on one side of the building, while the other side is home to a primary school.

Four Topvex SR air handling units were chosen to supply fresh air to the building. The Topvex SR units are equipped with energy-efficient EC technology which means the fans use around 15 to 20% less power when compared to standard asynchronous motors. Using the pre-programmed controls, air volume, duct pressure, temperature, heat/cold recovery, and operating times can be set. Summer night ventilation is applied to cool the building during the summer.
A TFSK roof fan from Systemair was also installed to extract used air from the bathrooms. Sinus air distribution products were installed in the school’s auditorium, connected to an oval duct.
