Systemair – strategic acquisition in India


Systemair has agreed to acquire the Indian ventilation company Ravistar with a yearly turnover of approximately 60 MSEK. The acquisition includes the right to use the Ravistar trademark.
    Ravistar is a market leader in India within air distribution products for buildings, airports and process industries such as pharmaceuticals and hygien segments. The company employs about 200 and their head quarter is located in Noida outside New Delhi, sales office in Bangalore and production facilities in Noida and Hyderabad.
    Systemair has already sales offices in New Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata and Pune and a centralized warehouse and assembly plant in Alwar to support local market. Since 2007 Systemair has a company, Systemair Software, that develops simulating software for different ventilation needs and product selection software for Systemair products.

 - This is a strategic acquisition for us, says Gerald Engström, Group President of Systemair. - With this acquisition we will strengthen our position in India and improve our opportunities to market the complete Systemair product range in the Indian market.

Systemair – acquisition in North America

Systemair has acquired the Dehumidification Division from the Canadian company W.C. Woods. The division, with an annual sales of 5 million dollars, will be moved to Systemair’s subsidiary in Canada. The products will continue to be sold under the Wood’s brand in Europe and under the Fantech brand name in US and Canada.
- The dehumidification products are a kindred product area that suits our production well. It is focused on the commercial market and will be a good complement for our distribution network in North America, says Gerald Engström, CEO Systemair.

Systemairs AGM 2009 in Skinnskatteberg, Sweden

Systemair's Annual General Meeting took place 3 Sept 2009 in the newbuilt lecture hall in Systemair Expo in Skinnskatteberg, Sweden. Approx. 60 share holders listended to CEO Gerald Engström's presentation of the year 2008/09 and also Q1 1 May-31 July. The Chariman of the Board Lars Hansson was also Chairman for the AGM.

Systemair AAA rated for 14 consecutive years 

Our company has triple-A, the highest credit rating in the Soliditet evaluation system, which is based on approximately 2,400 decision parameters. This information is completely up to date and is refreshed daily via the Soliditet database.

We are very proud to once again get the highest credit rating. Especially when we every year since 1995 has been AAA-rated. Only 400 out of Sweden’s 300 000 companies have been AAA rated for 14 consecutive years.

 

 

 

 

 

 

On March 24-26 Their Majesties the King and Queen of Sweden made a State Visit in Italy, followed by a Swedish businessdelegation led by the Swedish Trade Council. Systemair’s CEO Gerald Engström participated in the delegation, other companies were e.g. SAS, IKEA, Ericsson, Scandic, Volvo and Saab.
The programme included a visit at Italy’s Central Bank for presentation and discussion about Italy’s economic situation, visit at Enea for discussion about the environmental programmes and plans for renewable energy in Italy. Also networking with members of the Industrial Union in Rome and group meetings about infrastructure investments.
- It was a very good journey with interesting meetings, especially with the Department of energy. They understand fully the importance of saving energy. Italy is dependent on import of energy, 88 percent is imported! Energy saving has high priority and Systemair has a lot of products that can contribute, says Gerald Engström, CEO of Systemair. – The information from the Central bank about the economical situation was very interesting as also the internal contacts in the delegation.

 

Systemair Italy has received an order for 328 jet tunnel fans

Systemair has received an order with a total value of 2,9 MEUR, for the refurbishment of the A32 Torino-Bardonnecchia highway tunnels. The delivery will be made between 2008 and 2010.
The A32 is a major route connecting Italy to France. The highway is 76 km long and has nine tunnels; where the longest one is 5. 19 km long.

The ordered jet fans are made of stainless steel and they can withstand 400°C operational temperature and the air flow can be reversed.

- Previously our largest orders have been received from the Middle East, this order represents a break-through on the European market for our infra structure fans, says Svein Nilsen, Sales Director Systemair.

The Swedish Crown Princess was a breath of fresh air at Systemair


At the Construction dpt the Crown Princess was given material to make a pen holder in sheet metal.

In March 4 we were proud to have a visit from HRH Crown Princess Victoria. The Crown Princess was guided through the workshops and the Development Center. the Crown Princess knew a lot about Systemair and was very interested and had many questions about the company and the products. The Swedish public television company was here too and filmed the visit to be used in the annual program about the Royal Family that is published every New Year.

 

Systemair completes the acquisition of Climaproduct

Systemair has completed the acquisition of the Italian ventilation company Climaproduct in accordance with the earlier intentional agreement from August 2007. Climaproduct has an annual turnover of EUR 10,7 million (100 MSEK) with an operating profit of EUR 1,1 million (10 MSEK).

Climaproduct have been in business for over 24 years and they have a total of 40 employees. The head office is located in Milan with a smaller production unit in Padova. Climaproduct has been a distributor for Systemair since 1992, and also supplies ventilation products from producers other than Systemair.

The effects of the transaction will be retroactive as of January 1 this year and the Company name will be changed to Systemair Climaproduct.

Systemair streamlines in North America

Our company Fantech in North America has one manufacture facility in New Brunswick in Canada and an assembly plant in Florida. The modern factory in Canada has a high production capacity. In order to use the capacity better, we will coordinate all production to Canada and move the distribution to Cincinnatti.

 

Systemair launches a new company in Australia

Leading ventilation company Systemair is to launch a new company in Australia. The new company, Systemair Australia Pty.Ltd., will strengthen its positions in Australia and New Zealand.
     The new office and warehouse is situated in Melbourne and the first stock deliveries will arrive from Sweden and Germany during December.
     "At the moment we market a limited product range via distributors. With a local company we can grow our sales of Systemair´s entire product range", says Gerald Engström, CEO for Systemair. "The new company will be headed up by Managing Director Ivan Smolcic, who has vast experience in the ventilation trade in Australia and New Zealand and we are confident that this is a great opportunity for the development for the Systemair brand in Australia and New Zealand."

  

Systemair launches new software company in India

Systemair has launched a new software company in India. The company is a joint venture between Systemair (60%) and the Indian software company Mechartés (40%). The new company, Systemair Software, will develop programs for computer simulation of air currents in rooms, energy modelling of buildings, simulation of evacuation of carbon monoxid and carbon dioxid from parking buildings and develop software documentation for Systemair´s products.
Mechartés is an offshoot from Indian Institute of Technology and develops software for the defence and other technical industries.

New factory in Skinnskatteberg!

Systemair has a new production plant in Skinnskatteberg for manufacturing of air handling units. The new modern premises were inaugurated on September 21 by the  municipal commissioner Carina Sandor.
Today 35 employees are working in the new production plant. Systemair’s Customer Service dpt has moved from the head office to a new modern office in the same building. There is also well equipped premises for conferences and a large product exhibition.
